When Home-staging, we normally focus on de-personalising and de-cluttering a home to accentuate its positive attributes. This is done in part by neutralising the décor and arranging the furniture and accessories to create an appealing home for a wider range of buyers. Usually, we work with the client’s furnishings and if necessary we have access to a selected range of suppliers and furniture rental companies.

A Consultation visit is the ideal starting point whether you plan to take our advice and complete the work yourself or whether you’d like us to manage the project. A Verbal Consultation such as this can also have a huge impact when you are thinking of putting your house on the market, giving you a headstart by recognising the potential of your property and making the most of it. Once you’ve had your Consultation with us, should you wish us to take on the project, it will need to be priced on an individual basis. Verbal Consultation costings depends on your property size excluding garage surface and garden:

Surface area / price:
up to 220m2: R1000
220 - 600m2: R1500
600m2 and above price available on request

Costs of staging vary depending on the level of service required and on the size of the property, therefore full project will be priced on an individual basis.

When selling your property, time is of the essence. Therefore we endeavor to complete each project in the shortest amount of time possible, which could be anything from a couple of days to two weeks for the average project.

Other ways we can help you prepare your home for sale.....
A Full Written Report (starting from R1500) will provide the client with enough information and relevant contacts to enable them to proceed with the work. The Report will include diagnosis and prescription, “before” photos of the property, list of trade people, recommended paint colours and even a general description of types of surfaces (i.e. flooring, kitchen counters, etc), lighting, window treatments and accessories, and where to get them.

DesignBoost can return at any time to help and advise if required.
Alternatively, you can opt for a Summary Report (starting from R600), which will be very helpful as a written reminder of the Verbal Consultation, identifying the problem areas and providing briefing pointers for the improvement of those spaces. Otherwise a Priority List (also starting from R600) may become of use helping you identify which improvements are a must and need to be prioritized, from the most important to the lowest, giving you an order to approach the project.

Interior Redesign / Makeover
Design Boost can redesign one room or your whole house. We can assist if you have recently moved into a new home and need help with your décor and furniture placement or you simply want to change the look of an existing room(s) without spending too much time or money. Prices start from R1500 for an initial consultation. All projects are priced on an individual basis.

De-cluttering / Home organisation:
This service is popular whether you intend selling your home, or simply want to enjoy a more organised environment discovering new storage solutions. Our de-cluttering service is probably the one that would make most of an impact, as clutter is the greatest contributor to a home’s not selling or selling at a reduced price. This is due to the negative messages a cluttered home sends to potential buyers, from giving the impression of a neglected house to making rooms feel smaller and with lack of storage space. De-cluttering consultation starts at R900 for a 2 hour appointment.

Show Home styling
How is your development going to stand out from the crowd? An empty property should never be shown to potential buyers. The majority of buyers can find it difficult to visualise the proper use of the rooms or even their own furniture in the space. Offer a show home – beautifully styled – and they will see the true home potential. DesignBoost will tailor the project according to your target market creating an inspirational home that potential buyers will want to own.
All projects are priced on an individual basis.

Photo Consultation:
DesignBoost is based in Cape Town, South Africa. A Photo Consultation is a popular service with people who live in other parts of the country but would like to take on our advice on how to best prepare their home for sale. We would instruct the client on how to efficiently take photos of the problem rooms in their houses and forward them to us. We will then be able to prepare a Full Written Report that will provide all the information needed to proceed with the work.
Prices for this service are R200 per room or by quotation should you wish us to help you with your entire property.
